After the dog sniff, this Grandmother Arrested

An elderly woman in Australia to face charges relating to narcotics. According to police, the grandmother caught carrying more than 40 bags of marijuana in the bag cell by several dogs in the main train station in Sydney.

74-year-old woman was stopped and searched by officers after the draw the attention of several dogs near Central Station on Tuesday (28/06/2011).

"Police found more than 40 small bags containing marijuana inside the handbag the woman," police said in a statement, AFP reported on Wednesday (29/06/2011).

From the searches are then performed on the woman's house in a neighborhood on the outskirts of the city revealed a few more plastic bags containing marijuana. Women over the age of midlife is facing charges of having illicit goods and supplying it.

"Of course they were not expected," said Police Inspector Mark Christie unusual about these arrests.

"That's the advantage we get from narcotics operations using sniffer dogs. They sniffed the scent, not people," he said.
